TOODLEBUNNY is a Vancouver based hand-made jewellery brand. (Visit Official Website) I first came across her work at a show called “One of a Kind” few years ago and I really like her designs. Naturally, I liked her Facebook page after a while. A fer weeks ago I saw on my Facebook timeline that she is doing a give away, so I entered without much hope because I never win anything. NEVER.
So last week I saw my name on the winners list, I was like “OMFG Did I really win something?” (Excuse my language…) I was so excited and I just went to pick it up today. I usually don’t post anything that’s not related to make-up but I am way too excited not to share this with you.
If you live in Vancouver area, definitely check out her website for other works. You can find her works at various boutiques such as Shop Coccoon, LYNNsteven, Forsya Boutique & Gallery etc. See TOODLEBUNNY website for more detail. Her works are also available online at Coco Julliion.

I wrote about this night cream in my recent skincare routine post and I kind of praised about it. I still think this is a great night cream but there are few things that came up that I want to talk about, so I decided to make a individual post about this cream.
Here is what this cream claims to do on their Sephora website (Visit product page on Sephora.com) :
What it is formulated to do:
The regenerative power of alguronic acid promotes cell renewal to improve skin structure during the night. Peptides nourish the skin and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Firmness and elasticity are restored. Skin is left renewed, smoother and more radiant in the morning.
What it is formulated WITHOUT:
Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Dyes, Petrochemicals, Phthalates, Triclosan
Here is how the cream looks like on my hand:
Algenist Overnight Restorative Cream is a thick cream that has slightly moussey texture to it. It has light medicine-like scent to it, which I don’t mind but may not be a preferred smell by some people. When applied to skin, it blends into the skin and absorbs easily. Although it does leave a slightly greasy feeling to the skin, the stickiness goes away quickly and the skin feels smooth and supple. For the most part, I agree this product made my face look smooth and radiant in the morning, but I do notice that my T-zone feels a bit oily when I wake up. I have oily/combination skin so I am not surprised by my oily T-zone after using a thick night cream like this.
I’ve been using this cream for a little bit over 1 month now and been loving this cream until recently I found tons of white heads developing under my lower lip. At first I thought it might be the hormone, but when I think about it, I also get more white heads around my nose after I started using this cream. So I went to the website and read the ingredient list only to find out that this cream contains tons of comedogenic ingredients like Isopropyl Isostearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, and Algae Extract. “Comedogenic” means it can cause your skin to produce excess oil which can lead to acne. These ingredients may be completely harmless to people with normal or dry skin because oil will protect your skin from losing moisture, but it is not suitable for people with oily skin or acne prone skin.
I have not gotten any bad break out from this cream. I did get occasional acne but I get them no matter what I use. The only big difference I noticed was the increased development of little bumpy white heads. Since this product was part of my Sephora VIB gift set so I didn’t pay for it, and I already purchased my next moisturizer, I will stop using this product now and maybe use it on my legs or something to use it up. I still think this is an amazing moisturizer for people with dry skin because my skin around cheeks (which is my dry area) has definitely gotten smoother after using this cream.
- Very moisturizing
- Skin appears more smooth and radiant
- Absorbs quickly
- Formulated without harsh chemicals
- Not suitable for all skin types
- Expensive ($106 for full size)
- Can cause acne if you have oily or acne prone skin
My Final Rating: 3/5

I recently visited Walmart and Target in Bellingham, WA again. I went there mainly looking for baby stuff. But I came across these 2 items. Sorry for low quality photo 😦
Right: CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion
I bought these 2 items mainly because of their price.
The regular price for Simple Soothing Facial Toner is US$6.99 but Target had instant saving coupon (US$3.99 off) attached to it. So it came to only US$3.00! I’ve been seeing this “Simple” brand in Canada for a while and I was always intrigued. I never actually reached out to it nor did research on it, but the bottle says it’s good for sensitive skin and doesn’t contain harsh chemicals nor alcohol (which is not entirely true because it contains witch hazel and witch hazel contains alcohol). Besides, it is only $3.00 so I wouldn’t be too sad if it doesn’t work out. I tried their light moisturizer on my hand and it felt really nice too. So I will be testing this out and will let you guys know in the future.
CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion is actually for my hubby. He’s been looking for a cheap moisturizer that just moisturise his dry skin. Nothing more. We first found this in Walmart for US$12.97, which we though was an OK price because last moisturizer he was using came with less product for the same price. So we bought it after reading some online reviews saying it’s an great moisturizer for dry skin. Then we went to Target and found the exact same lotion for US$6.48. We were like “what the heck, walmart?” so we bought it at Target and went to return the one we bought at Walmart. Target official website doesn’t have the price for this item and it says “Price vary by store”, so maybe it’s not that cheap in other Target stores. I still think it’s worth it to check them out if you like this moisturizer, because it’s like 50% off from Walmart’s price.
I thought these are great deal so though I’d share with you guys. Have a nice day, lovelies 🙂
